Klausen, the artists’ town
With its meandering alleys and colourful facades adorned with oriels and battlements, Klausen is a gem of a little medieval town, dominated by the mighty complex of the Säben monastery towering above the historical centre. Once a popular destination for artists such as Albrecht Dürer and more, today Klausen is a charming and lively hotspot that attracts artistic souls, culture vultures and tourists from all walks of life. An array of picturesque shops, inviting restaurants and culinary themed events make it worth a trip all year round.

If you are travelling by train, you can request our pick-up service from Klausen railway station (for a fee). Bus and rail connections are excellent throughout South Tyrol, and the nearest bus stop is just outside our door.
