On two wheels

Whether you prefer pedalling your way through the Eisacktal valley on an electric bike, a mountain bike or a road bike, you can take your pick of a variety of itineraries, from valley cycle paths to more Alpine trails.

On skis

Leisurely slopes or black pistes? The choice is yours, with several ski resorts in the area offering a tailored snow experience for everyone.

Klausen, a place of nature and endless possibilities

The Klausen area stands out for its diverse landscape, offering everything from the vineyards swathing the valley to the chocolate-box hamlets dotting the hills and the idyllic pastures that green the feet of the mountains. And if that’s not enough, you can also look forward to great cultural sights and a tantalising culinary landscape.

The Säben monastery

The majestic complex of the Säben monastery watches over the town of Klausen from the top of its hill. Once a bishopric seat, the monastery is Tyrol’s most ancient place of pilgrimage. The Säbener Promenade leads from the town all the way up to the monastery and its church of the Holy Cross, a mystical place in its own right.

The Eisacktal valley

The Eisacktal valley cuts across South Tyrol, extending from the Brenner pass all the way south to Bozen. At its heart lie the bishopric town of Brixen and the artists’ town of Klausen with their historical centres, as well as the Neustift monastery with its library and collegiate church. Its mountainous landscape features Mt. Plose and the world-famous Geisler mountains in Villnöss. There’s enough to guarantee unforgettable emotions… and then some more.
